Black + Decker has just released a new 12V cordless line called Gopak. They have also launched a 4-tool combo kit.
The Gopak system is unique because it has a 12V battery that can double as a portable power source for charging your mobile devices while on the move. It does so without the need for additional tools as the Gopak battery itself has a USB port that pumps out 2.4 amps for quick charging of your phone. A bright 4-bar fuel gauge is also included in the Gopak batteries.
The Black + Decker 4 tool combo kit includes a drill, jigsaw, sander, and LED light and of course the Gopak battery, a charging cable, drill bit, jigsaw blade, and three sheets of sanding paper all for for the kit. I’m sure that 4 cordless tools at a reasonable price will be appealing to many, especially with the Gopak dual-duty battery. No torque specs are given for the drill other than a single but possibly variable speed of 0-550 rpm and a 3/20 cm chuck. All of the tools are light-duty and can be used for crafts projects. The sander’s design is also interesting. It looks like the design of an oscillating multitool but without the ability to swap out accessories to cut or scrape.
